Re-attached the piece under the passenger side front bumper. The tech working on my car happened to be in my line-of-sight as I sat in the office, waiting. Thorough, careful work, less than a half hour at a very reasonable price. I'll be recommending Schaeffers to everyone.

This was our second great experience at Schaeffer's. My truck had significant damage to the bumper and quarter panel. They made it look brand new. And that's not a brand new bumper. They reworked it. Paint job on the quarter panel is perfect. Highly recommend

This review is long overdue. I got 3 cars painted by these guys. One in 1990, one in 92, and the last in 94. The fact I went back twice should speak to the work they did, but I want to tell you about the first paint job. The year was 1990 and I was 18 years old. This is back when Maaco and Earl Sheib would paint a car for $99 - or so they said. You'd go in for a quote and it would jump to $500. So I decided to do what any broke 18 year old would do - I decided to paint it myself. I borrowed a compressor, bought some paint and tried to paint my car outside on a windy day. I messed it up so bad. I called every autobody place in the book and asked "I've got a car that's half blue and half white. All the body work is done and it's taped off. I just need a coat of white paint thrown on so it doesn't look silly for senior week at the beach. Can you do this for $150, it's all I have?". The only place that said yes was Schaeffers. I drove my car there and they got to work that day. All I expected was for them to put on one coat of color. They took the time to sand out my fisheyes, then 2 coats of primer, 2 coats of color and 2 coats of clear. And it looked AWESOME. I waited as they did the work and the owner was shocked when he said "is someone coming to pick you up?" and I replied that I was driving it to Ocean City then and there, with the paint barely dry. Poor guy gave so much effort to make the paint job perfect and I drove it away still wet. Senior week was my top priority and I could not wait - thus are 19-year-old priorities. But it gets better. I paid in quarters. Part of the reason I am writing this review now is to apologize for that. It was all I had. The look on his face as I placed 15 sandwich bags of quarters on his desk and he said "are you serious?". Sheepishly all I could say was "yes", and he accepted them laughing at me. I took 2 more cars there, including my 1969 Mustang. Those I paid with a check and paid a fair and quoted amount, probably too embarrassed by the quarters incident to try to haggle. I drove that Mustang for 11 years and that paint always looked as good as the day I drove it out of their shop. If I lived in the area, I'd have any future cars painted by them, but sadly I don't. I'm glad to see the shop still running, and I'll say if it's the same family, these are honest and good people. Just don't pay in quarters.
